SurpriseThis small figurine is called a Hummel, and my mom has a jar full of them. She has had them for a very long time and treasures them greatly. They are some of her most prized possessions. Some of them are very valuable, worth upwards of $200. When we me moved to Ann Arbor from Florida, it was one of the first things my mom made sure had gotten here safely.
SantaBoThis is bobblehead of Bo Schembechler. He was a legendary football coach for the University of Michigan. It is a limited edition vintage bobblehead that my family has had since before I was born. Every year when the college football season started my mom would put it out on our coffee table. It means a lot to me.

Crystalized SurpriseThe Polar ExpressThis is a Christmas decoration that my family has had for a while. It is a nesting doll that depicts scenes from The Polar Express on every santa. In the smallest santa is a bell. Playing with it is one of my earliest Christmas memories. It is my favorite Christmas decoration.
LegendLivestrongThis baseball was a baseball caught by me at a Detroit Tigers game a couple of years ago. My grandpa had been diagnosed with cancer a few months before the game, and we had gotten very in to the Livestrong foundation. There was a meet and greet before the game with my favorite player, Quintin Berry, and I told him about my grandpa and gave him a Livestrong bracelet to wear. When I went to the game, I saw him wearing the bracelet while he was warming up, and he threw this baseball to me

This is one of my Christmas ornaments. It is a pickle, but the pickle itself has no significance. We have a tradition in our family where my parents hide the pickle somewhere in the tree. After this, my sister and I would try to find it. The first person to find it would get to open the first present on Christmas. It is my favorite Christmas tradition.
