Architecture
These pictures were taken in front of broadway party store on Broadway. It is one of the oldest buildings in Ann Arbor. I took the one of the lower level because I liked the signs in the window and I liked the green and red. I The second picture is the second level of the building, and I liked the perspective from that angle. I was trying to evoke the feeling of an old building.
This building is a lawyer's office building off of Division. I liked this building I didn't even realize it was an office until I read the sign, I just thought it was a house. The first picture is the back view of the building. The second picture is a view of the front on the building. It was difficult to take a picture of the front of the building because the driveway was very slanted.
This building is Treasure Mart, a small shop off of Detroit St. I photographed this building because of the color. The first picture is of the side of the building and I thought the two different blues looked really good in that composition. The second shot is off the front of the shop. It was difficult to take that one because the building is very close to the road.
This building is a bike shop off of Pontiac Trail. I liked the contrast of the deep blue trim on the pale beige. The first picture is of the front of the building. The second is taken at an angle to show the front and part of the side. It shows off the texture of the side of the building.
This building was an old brewery off of 5th Ave. I really liked how old it looked, with all the vines growing on the brick. The first picture is of a door on the side, and I liked the composition. The second is of the back wall, where the fire escape is. I wanted to portray how old the building was.
